Saudi Arabian Applique Quilt

I came across this beautiful quilt and wanted to share it with yall.  I didn't get the dimensions but I would guess it's about 5x5.  It was made by the Dhahran Oasis Quilt Guild here in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia though I don't know if one person made it or a group made it.  It's hanging in the Saudi Aramco Heritage Gallery.

    There are LOTS of quilters in Saudi, mostly Ex pats or people from other countries that move here for whatever reasons. Some Saudi women do quilt. In the states many men also quilt, but here in Saudi, I doubt that any do.
