Yesterday was the 2012 Quilt Show for the Dhahran Oasis Quilt Guild. Being my first time attending their shows, I was impressed. There was lots to look at, a Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) demonstration was going on as well as an applique demonstration. On site there were Bernina machines and Bernina goodies from the local Bernina shoppe. Zammal's craft & fabric shoppe was there as well with 200 of their newest bolts of fabric, mostly Batiks though.. Saudi Paws had a fundraising bake sale, see what we bought at the end of the post. Saudi Paws does spaying/neutering, fostering, home placement, etc for the homeless cats & dogs in Saudi.
This post is LONG as there were many quilts at the show. For the non-judged pieces displayed there were quilt tops & non-bound quilt sandwiches. All kinds of techniques were shown. LET'S GET STARTED!
I WAS SO DIGGIN' THIS ONE.
YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE VERY WELL BUT HIS IS MADE WITH FISH BLOCKS AND THE BLUE BLOCKS ARE BLUE JEANS.
