Never used Google Reader? Don't Know How? - Using Google Reader is EASY & Effective!
Google Reader is also great for Non Blogspot blogs. It keeps track of all your RSS feeds no matter if the blog is Blogspot or not. (TypePad, WordPress, etc)
YOU CAN ALSO FOLLOW RECIPE WEBSITES IN GOOGLE READER! I myself follow KraftFoods, Taste of Home, etc. so I NEVER miss a new recipe! How cool is that!
To get to your Google Reader, you don't have to download anything, it's built into your blog's Dashboard. At the top of your blog page, you will click on "Design". Then at the top click on "Dashboard". Scroll down to the middle of the page, where it says "Reading List". You will see ALL the blogs that you follow in a "General" fashion. Now, if you want to read the posts in a larger format, want to see how many new Blogspot posts you haven't read yet, & also want to see all of the Non-Blogspot posts that are new, click on "View in Google Reader".
In Google Reader you can "Star" posts that you like & want to refer back to later. You can search for "Key Words".
In Google Reader, if blog A shows that they have 3 new posts, as you scroll down & look at the posts, that 3 will disappear showing no new posts for that blog because you have just looked at all 3. I LOVE THIS FEATURE BECAUSE I NEVER MISS A POST AT ALL. You miss lots of posts only using your Blog Roll.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know. If you have anything else to add to this post that I missed, by all means comment!

I Love Reader Comments! They make me Smile! Please leave me one!
I try to respond to all comments on my blog except during give-aways. If you never receive a reply to comments you leave here, you are probably a no-reply-comment-blogger. Change that status in your blogger profile and I will start responding to your comments!
NO WORD VERIFICATION HERE! YAY!

ReplyDeleteI've used google reader for ages now but I just tried the "next blog" button after reading QITG comment and discovered a whole lot of quilting /sewing blogs I'd never have known about otherwise! Thanks for that tip QITG :D.
