Beautiful & Large Black, Grey & White Moth

Hey Yall, maybe there are some bug people out there who can help me with this.  Night before last I noticed a very beautiful but rather large moth outside my door.  I love the colors & the markings.  I don't know if it's a boy or a girl.  Do moths come in both genders?  Heck I don't know!  Well I ran to grab my camera so that I could take pictures.  These bricks are the normal size so this moth is rather large, I've seen larger though.  I live in Raleigh, North Cackalacka if that helps you find what is indicative to this area.

  1. Okay, I looked all over Bugguide.net and couldn't find one that looked exactly like this. The closest I could find was this one:

I bet you could send your pics in to them and they'd id it for you. They have to look at body type, wing span, etc.
