I use Avast anti-virus. :)
ReplyDeleteI use the same one as Mary. Avast anti-virus (the free version) and it works great.
ReplyDeleteI use Microsoft Security Essentials - it's free on their website. Also, be very careful about installing any Java updates - they are easily infiltrated and can be "carriers" for the malware.
ReplyDeleteI have used some of the free ones in the past and my computer died a hard death from a virus that got through. I have used Trend Micro ever since. It updates on its own, it shows me what it finds. The above is right about Java. I do install my java updates but I run another scan immediately.
ReplyDeleteI use avast too.
ReplyDeleteI use Eset. You can purchase on line, it updates automatically. It constantly scans your PC and when your 1 year is up, you can renew right online. Easy Peasey... And it costs much less than it's competitors. I have it installed on all 6 PCs in my house.
ReplyDeleteYou can find it at: www.eset.com

Been using AVG protection for many years now, and I'd recommend this solution to you all.
